WEEKLY REFLECTION  Week 4 (5-12-22 to 9-12-22) This week I rejoined the school internship program after a break of 2 weeks which was spend in our college for our second semester examinations. Returning to school was a very invigorating experience. The students were quite happy to see me after a short break. I met with my teacher in charge and she informed me that most of the portions regarding the second terminal exam has been finished. So I only had to revise some topics and teach a little grammar this week. In short the whole week passed by in a slow paced and relaxed manner. The major highlights of this week had been the Bishop Stanley Roman Sapthathi scholarship examination and the soccer tournament held at school. The scholarship examination was held at Wednesday from 1.30 to 2.30 pm. Students from 5th to 10th standard could participate in the exam on paying an entry fee. The soccer game was held on Friday from 3.00 pm onwards. Both the teams, wearing jer...

WEEKLY REFLECTION Week 3 (14-11-22 to 18-11-22) This week commenced with a much celebrated day in our country, November 14, commonly hailed as Children's day.The day started with the school assembly, which was different from usual in the sense that the whole school was asked to gather in the school ground. After the prayer, there was a rendering of relevant new items and a student recited a speech concerning Children's Day. Another  student shared an incident from Jawaharlal Nehru's life and there were many students dressed as 'chachaji'. The school also hosted a very colourful rally right after the school assembly. The entire day was filled with a sprint of brotherhood and merriment. There was a strike this week declared by KSU and hence no classes could be conducted on Tuesday. Teacher trainees were required to be present at the school as the regular faculty was also suppose to come. The school looked empty without the...

WEEKLY REFLECTION  Week 2 (7-11-22 to 11-11-22) This week was not as lively as the last one which hosted numerous programs and observations. Now that I was more familiar with the students, the level of interaction and student queries increased quite a bit. The only activity I engaged with in the first day was my teaching session. The students were very much responsive to the explanations provided and to my surprise had excellent previous knowledge of the content. Our optional teacher chose this week for my first class observation and it went quite smoothly.Even though I thought it would be intimidating and the students would be difficult to handle, the entire session was very lively and the students were much disciplined and supportive. My tutor provided valuable advice on how the classes can be improved and gave suggestions to improve the quality of teaching that I exhibited. The next few days passed by without much excitement and I could easily observe that...
